Lovely place

Visited this quaint little hotel & restaurant in August. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and is just off 5th Avenue in Playa del Carmen; Gabriela and the front reception staff met us. Nothing was too much trouble for Gabriella and her team; they aimed to ensure satisfaction to all that walked through the door.

Went to look at this hotel today to see if we would like to stay there on our next visit we were met by lovely reception staff who called the manager Gabriela to take time out of her busy day. She showed us several different rooms or bright and cheerful and spotlessly clean nothing was too much trouble Gabriela then took us to the Pierre Masson restaurant that is attached to the hotel.

We had a lovely snack and coffee again served by pleasant staff, and the prices were excellent we would definitely recommend this hotel and will be booking later on in the year thank you, Gabriela, for taking the time to show us around your lovely hotel and telling us your helmet diving cozumel mexico tips.

If you want a chill and welcoming place to stay, this is the place. Thanks to Jaime, Anahi, Ivonne, Ingrid, Tania, and Rossanna for always being attentive and informative whenever I had a question of any sort.

My wife and I stayed at the Illusion Boutique Hotel May 12-17 and enjoyed our stay here. The staff is friendly and attentive (Ingrid, Alejo, and Claudia). Our plan included breakfast which is offered by an adjoining restaurant with a good selection of hot and cold items. Also, the breakfast is not a buffet you sit down at a table, and a server takes your order and serves breakfast which is a nice break from the meals and standing in lines and fighting the crowds.

The rooms are spacious and relatively modern, as well as attractive. The cleaning staff did an excellent job of keeping the room cleaned every day and restocked with the necessities. While some have complained of the mattresses were hard, I found them a little on the firm side but yet very comfortable and woke up every morning feeling rested with no back pain. The shower worked well with plenty of water pressure and as hot as you would want it. The room had one lock, but it seemed to be very secure, and as there is only one way in and out of the hotel, which is staffed 24/7, so we felt very safe.

The room also has a safe that locks with a key that you keep with you, but it is a relatively small key. The hotel has a small pool big enough to cool off in but not big enough to swim in. The area around the lake has plenty of lounge chairs and a bar that is attended in the afternoons. The location of the hotel is perfect (take a left out of the lobby and in 1 minute you are on 5th Ave., take a right out of the hall, and in 2 minutes you are on the beach). Next time in Playa, we will be staying at the Illusion.
